About Pachamama Alliance
Pachamama Alliance is a global community committed to bringing forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just human presence on this planet.
For more than 30 years, we have worked in partnership with Indigenous peoples of the Amazon rainforest and with people around the world to transform the systems and ways of being that have contributed to our social and environmental crises. Our work invites people to reconnect with themselves, one another, the Earth, and a deeper sense of purpose, and to turn that connection into meaningful action.
We believe that lasting change requires more than new ideas or better systems. It also requires a shift in how we relate to one another and to the living world. That understanding is at the heart of our programs and of how we work together as an organization.
The Opportunity
Pachamama Alliance is seeking a Program Coordinator to help bring our programs to life and expand their reach, initially with a significant focus on Coming Home: We’re In This Together, our newest offering.
Coming Home is designed to create meaningful experiences of connection, reflection, and possibility. As we move from early pilots toward broader delivery across the United States and eventually globally, we need someone who can help turn a powerful program vision into an exceptional and repeatable participant experience.
This is a role for someone who is both heart-centered and highly organized. You care deeply about people and the purpose behind the work, and you also love making things happen. You can hold the intention of a transformational experience while managing the many details required to deliver it well.
You will work closely with program leaders, facilitators, volunteers, local hosts, and colleagues across Pachamama Alliance to coordinate programs, events, materials, systems, and communications. You will help create the operational foundation that allows this offering to reach more people without losing the integrity and human connection that makes it meaningful.
What You'll Do
Coordinate program delivery and expansion. Turn program priorities into clear operational plans, manage timelines and dependencies, and help move Coming Home from its pilot phase into ongoing delivery in additional communities.
Support facilitators and volunteers. Coordinate onboarding, preparation, training logistics, scheduling, resources, and communication so the people delivering our programs feel prepared, connected, and supported.
Create exceptional in-person and online experiences. Coordinate the logistics behind events and programs, including venues, schedules, participant communications, materials, technology, and production needs.
Bring program materials to life. Coordinate the development and production of videos, resources, facilitator materials, and other program assets so teams have what they need, when they need it.
Listen and learn from participants. Coordinate feedback and program measurement, identify patterns and insights, and help the team continually strengthen the participant experience and program impact.
Build systems that help great work scale. Develop clear, repeatable workflows, checklists, processes, and handoffs that allow programs to grow while maintaining their quality and integrity.
Collaborate across the organization. Work closely with Programs, Marketing, and other teams to ensure program needs, communications, timelines, and priorities stay aligned.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who brings both operational excellence and genuine connection to the purpose of the work.
You are deeply aligned with Pachamama Alliance’s purpose and values and are energized by work that seeks to create a more environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually fulfilling world. You bring a heart-centered approach to relationships and understand that how we do the work matters alongside what we accomplish.
You also know how to execute. You are organized, dependable, comfortable holding many moving pieces, and able to create structure where it does not yet exist. You pay attention to details without losing sight of the larger intention behind the work.
You bring:
- Genuine passion for Pachamama Alliance’s purpose and a desire to contribute to the deeper intention of programs such as Coming Home.
- Knowledge of and engagement with environmental sustainability, social change, community building, transformational learning, or related fields.
- A relational, heart-centered approach and the ability to build trust with people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with the judgment to anticipate needs, surface challenges early, and determine when to act independently or bring in others.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects or programs involving multiple contributors, deadlines, dependencies, and detailed requirements.
- Experience coordinating in-person events and supporting online programs.
- Experience working with facilitators, volunteers, participants, and community members.
- The ability to deeply understand the content, intention, and desired participant experience of a program and translate that understanding into thoughtful operational plans and processes that preserve its integrity as it grows.
- The ability to collect and analyze participant feedback and program data, identify meaningful patterns, and translate findings into program improvements.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to bring clarity and structure to evolving work.
- Comfort learning and working across digital tools for project management, CRM, community engagement, online learning, and virtual events. Experience with tools such as Asana and HubSpot is valuable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Experience working across cultures or with global communities is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
You will help create the foundation that allows Coming Home and other Pachamama Alliance offerings to reach more people and communities while retaining the depth, quality, and intention of the experience.
Facilitators and volunteers will feel prepared and supported. Participants will experience thoughtful, well-run programs. Program leaders will have a trusted partner who anticipates needs and follows through. And the systems you help build will make it possible for Pachamama Alliance to expand its reach without losing the human connection at the heart of the work.
