The Position
The Development Database Manager manages Salesforce and related fundraising databases, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and effective use of donor data. This role supports both the Development and Finance teams by maintaining records, producing reports, reconciling donations, and providing tools that guide fundraising strategy.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. They are proactive, flexible, and collaborative, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and contribute positively to team culture.
Key Responsibilites:
Fundraising & Development
- Maintain donor records in Salesforce and FundraiseUp, including gift entry, recurring donation updates, and inquiries.
- Manage donor acknowledgments (thank-you letters, tax receipts, calls) and pledge invoicing.
- Generate, maintain, and present reports and dashboards to track fundraising performance, donor trends, and projections.
- Support annual and quarterly processes: fundraising workbooks, forecasts, KPIs, board reports.
- Provide training and support to Development team members on data systems and tools.
- Assist with donor engagement, cultivation, and gratitude events (occasional evenings/weekends).
Operations & Finance
- Partner with Finance on Salesforce/QuickBooks reconciliation, earmarked donations, and audit support.
- Provide documentation for donations as requested.
General
- Ensure accuracy and integration of donor data across systems.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (formulas, filtering, deduplication, cross-sheet linking).
- CRM experience (Nonprofit Salesforce strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience learning new systems quickly.
Preferrred
- Experience with Asana (or similar project management tools).
- Familiarity and experience with Pachamama Alliance’s work in the world.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $89,000–$92,500 per year.
